What do you really want?

A long time ago I wanted many things,
both external and internal.
Over time, gradually, slowly,
I realized that none of these “things,”
external nor internal,
bring true happiness.
They are all impermanent,
do not last, do not satisfy,
vanish as soon as tasted,
illusions.
At some point, I stopped wanting.
Stilled, and now only observe
what is, dance with what is,
grateful for what is.
