I’ve Come to See the Sea

One after the other they fall
In the rhythm of my enchanted steps,
Lonely today remains my soul
No lover, no friend, no one helps.
I’ve come to see the sea
On this misty morning alone;
No one seems to look at me
I don’t even have a home.
Where is the one I thought was love?
I close my eyes and hear a whisper
It’s only the sea and a lonely dove
How foolish to think it was a simper.
Thus alone we sit the sea and I
No one hears our morning lullaby.
